- Compass is available in a 4×2 configuration with a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic.
- With its Trail Edition version, which costs ₹37.27 lakh, Meridian now offers an AT 4×4.
Additional advantages of the Meridian’s off-road equipment include:
- For improved ride comfort, use a suspension with frequency-selective damping (FSD).
- Auto Hold, Hill Descent, 4WD Lock/Low, and Select Terrain modes (Auto/Mud/Sand/Snow)
These characteristics highlight the Trail Editions’ focus on functionality rather than merely appearance.
Program for Jeep Trust Ownership
Alongside this event, Jeep unveiled its Jeep Trust ownership initiative:
- Compass Trail Edition purchasers receive a five-year extended warranty, a complimentary three-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), and a monetary reward of ₹20,000.
- The Meridian Trail Edition has a three-year AMC.
This value addition goes beyond badge appeal and style to improve long-term ownership.
The Jeep Compass and Meridian Maritime Trail Editions give well-known SUVs a new look and tough personality. These versions offer a compelling option for consumers looking for a dynamic look along with the assurance of ownership benefits and, in Meridian’s case, true 4×4 functionality.
They are, however, best suited for clients who want exclusivity, branding, and off-road readiness—and who are happy with Jeep India’s current aftersales record—because of the comparatively low price for cosmetic and limited feature improvements.
